Back to School Letter-open house etc

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Wow!  Where did the summer go?   I hope that everyone is having a great summer and looking forward to the start of the new school year.

Enclosed are your student’s profile sheet, supply list and free/reduced lunch forms.  Please check over the profile sheet and make any corrections and return them by mail or drop them off at the school by Friday, August 7th if your student is planning on attending school at Burns.   Please call the school by the 7th if you have had an address change so that I can let the bus garage know of the changes so they can complete their scheduling.  This is all very important and will allow us to place your student and see what our numbers will be so that we have we can guarantee your child a classroom.  Please return the free/reduced lunch form at this time if this applies to your family.  If you are not planning on having your children attend Burns Elementary please give the school a call at (307)245-4150.

We are having to do our “Back to School” open house differently in order to allow for social distancing.  We are asking you and your child wear a mask when you do attend your child’s open house and do limit the amount of people/children to only those who need to attend.

We know that requirements for COVID 19 are changing almost daily and we ask that you bare with us as we do not know exactly what school will look like at this time.

The first day of school will be on Monday, August 17th.  The first week will be complete days,  Monday- Thursday.    Our first bell on regular days will be at 7:50am and release times will be at 3:30pm.  Please do not drop off your child at the school before 7:30am as we are not allowed to open our doors before 7:30am.

We are looking forward to a great year and appreciate your support!
