Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Laramie County School District No. 2 and our website.  It is my hope that this platform is informative and helpful about activities and events in the school district. 

 Our District is located in the southeast corner of Wyoming.  We serve four elementary schools in Albin, Burns, Carpenter and Pine Bluffs.  We also have two high schools located in Burns and Pine Bluffs.  Our dedicated teachers and staff serve a student population of approximately 1,024.  

 We continue to work towards the Vision of our District, which  is “to be the Premier College and/or Career Readiness Center in the state of Wyoming.”  We cannot do this unless we work collaboratively with all stakeholder groups. All decisions in the school district will focus on how we can prepare our students to be successful and fulfill whatever their dreams are as they graduate from high school. 

 Our district is on a four day calendar. Two hours on most Fridays are blocked out for students who need additional help or opportunities to extend their learning.. Our calendar is supported and valued by our stakeholders. We continue to look for ways to make our calendar more effective.

 Be sure to check out the Student’s First Serials tab, where students from across the district, each week contribute to our story.  My favorite part is their voice, and the fun drawings that our youngest students use to share their thoughts.
