Welcome to the Laramie County School District No. 2. It is my desire that this website be informative and helpful about activities and events in the school district.

Our District is located in the southeast corner of Wyoming.  We serve four elementary schools in Albin, Burns, Carpenter and Pine Bluffs.  We also have two high schools located in Burns and Pine Bluffs.  Our dedicated teachers and staff serve a student population of approximately 1,060.

The Vision of our District is to be the Premier College and/or Career Readiness Center in the state of Wyoming.”  We cannot do this unless we work collaboratively with all stakeholder groups. All decisions in the school district will focus on how we can prepare our students to be successful and fulfill whatever their dreams are as they graduate from high school.

Our district is on a four day calendar. Two hours on most Fridays are blocked out for students who need additional help. Staff professional development takes place after the two hours spent with students. Our calendar is supported and valued by our stakeholders. We continue to look for ways to make our calendar more effective.

This past year helped all of us to realize the resiliency in each other, and the potential in ourselves.  While it is hard to predict what the future holds, I know that our most valuable resource, our people, will come together.  I greatly appreciate the support of all who are going the extra mile to provide our students with the experiences they want and need.

I look forward to this year, a chance to meet more people and encourage one another on our learning paths.  Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and let’s continue to work together to keep Students First.
