KinderBoost Screening

Kindergarten Screening - Thursday, March 7, 2019.  Please call the school at 245-4090 by February 28 to set up an appointment for the morning.  Please bring your child’s birth certificate, social security card and immunization record (we will make copies).

Rec Board Meeting

Consolidated Grant Meeting

January 8th, 2019 - 7:30 am at Burns Elementary School. A brief overview of the Grant Funding Program will be discussed and questions will be answered.

Standards-based Grading

Pre-Registration Paperwork

AES will offer two pre-registration dates for families who need help completing paperwork; otherwise, feel free to mail/drop off your completed pre-registration packet in to Mrs. Stacy Malm.  All registration packets are due by no later than August 15, 2018. A translator will be available on Thursday, August 2nd 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Tuesday August 7th 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Before the Spring Concert, the Parent Group will be hosting a Silent Auction containing theme baskets from each grade and many other fantastic donated items. A light supper will also be served. The Silent Auction and meal start at 5:30 PM and the concert will be at 6:30 PM. Proceeds from the auction will go into a fund that will help supplement field trips and/or purchase any necessary classroom supplies or miscellaneous items not covered in our 2016-17 shortfall budget. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

3rd Quarter Award Program

Our 3rd Quarter Award Program will be on Wednesday, April 13 at 2:45 in the lunchroom. 


Everyone is encouraged to attend our Spring Family Fun Night on Thursday, April 7 at 5:30 pm--food, games, door prizes, and a fun time for all!


Come get some great books to read or for gifts from our BOGO Book Fair going on this week! It will be open Tuesday through Thursday at 3:30-4:00, Thursday night from 5:30-8:00, and Friday morning from 8:30-10:30. 


Our two snow makeup days will be Friday, April 8 and Friday,  April 15. April 8 will be a full day and we will have an early release on April 15 which is 12:45.

Chartwells Sub Opportunity

If you have a positive attitude and a love for learning, you may be interested in joining the Chartwells team. They are looking to fill On Call Food SVC Worker positions in LCSD#2. Apply online at:



Join us for success stories, sandwiches and sundaes on Monday, February 22, at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Dr. Smith will enlighten us on how the AES students are performing and Jim Reed, an instructional specialist from Compass Learning, will share insights about the 21st Century technology our students are using. Students will be demonstrating this thechnology in their classrooms after Mr. Reed's presentation. The AES Parent Group is providing subway sandwiches, sundaes and amazing door prices!


Beginning March 7, students in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be PAWS testing through March 17.

PBES Construction Bid

The Laramie County School District Board of Trustees will be voting on the acceptance of the construction and abatement bid for Pine Bluffs Elementary School at the Committee of the Whole meeting on February 3, 2016.  This meeting will be held at Burns High School, 7:00 p.m.  


Our 2nd Qtr Award Program will be on Wednesday, January 27, at 2:45 pm in the lunchroom.

School will dismiss at 12:45 on December 22 for our Christmas vacation. School will resume on Monday, January 4th.

The Albin Elementary School Christmas Program is on Thursday, December 10th, at 6:30 PM in the gym. Have you ever tried to put on a Christmas Musical?  This year, you will see how difficult it can be when the reindeer try to organize the elves, snowmen, and toys to help Santa finish his Christmas Musical! 

Inclement Weather Procedure

LCSD#2 will strive to have any school cancellations or late starts posted by 5:30 a.m. on the district website (www. Laramie2.org) followed by a district wide all-call. The media will be contacted shortly thereafter. Please check the district website before calling transportation dispatch, as this is a high call volume time. The website will contain the most up to date information.

The decision to delay or cancel school is taken very seriously by LCSD#2.  Many factors go into the decision, such as reports from the National Weather Service, State Patrol Traffic Management, various weather forecast and firsthand accounts from school personnel who assess the inclement weather and how it is affecting travel within our district boundaries and surrounding areas.

Closure/delay decisions will be made by LCSD#2 Superintendent Jon Abrams after all reports have been considered. It is LCSD#2’s intent to remain open as long as students can be transported safely to school.

Families and individuals are encouraged to make their own personal safety decisions based on the road conditions in their area.  School children will be given excused absences if a parent feels their route to school is not safe when their school is open


Friday, December 4, will be a regular school day for all students!

Halloween Parties

Halloween parties will be on Thursday, October 29. Students may change into their costumes at 2:45. The parade will begin at 3:00 with the parties to follow.


The Wyoming Health Fairs will be at Albin Elementary on Wednesday, October 28, 7:00-9:30 AM for a blood draw. They recommend 12 hours fasting prior to the draw, unless diabetic. Drink plenty of water and take medications as usual. This will take place in the lunch room.

Albin Flu Shot Clinic

Flu shots, provided by the Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department, will be given at Albin Elementary on Thursday, October 15, in the art room (60's addition), from 9:00-11:30. Remember to bring your insurance/Medicare cards.

Albin Elementary School has been approved for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. All our students will be offered a fresh fruit or veggie as a snack each Monday and Wednesday mornings. These snacks are prepared by our cook and taken to the rooms on the assigned days. The students will also receive interesting information about the fruit/veggie offered that day.


You will not be able to access PowerSchool on Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18, due to maintenance.
